一見すると、これは気味の悪い（しかしかなり面白い）ジョークに過ぎないように見えるかもしれない。しかし実際には、昨日の米国によるイラン核施設への無謀で違法、そして挑発なき爆撃のより深い真実を露呈している。トランプが、圧倒的な国民の反対にもかかわらず、わずかな同意も見せかけもせず、国際法に口先だけの従順も示さず、EUと英国の全面的な支持を得て、これほどまでに巨大な一線を越えることを選択し、しかもそれを実行したという事実は、決定的な転換点を示している。 私たちは今、西側主導の世界的な蛮行の新たな段階に突入している。これは、イスラエルによる西側支援を受けたガザでのジェノサイドが予兆していた。そこでは、あらゆる見せかけは捨てられ、残忍で抑制のない暴力の論理だけが残されている。 これは国際平和に対する壊滅的な脅威であるだけでなく、昨日の攻撃は、非核保有国に対し、意のままに爆撃され、残虐な扱いを受ける可能性があるという明確なメッセージを送った。そして、西側諸国自体に残されたわずかな自由も脅かしている。 誤解しないように。西側諸国の支配階級が海外でマフィア的なギャング行為を公然と容認していることは、崩壊しつつある秩序を維持しようとする彼らの必死で幻想的な試みの妨げとなる、倫理的、法的、憲法的、そして民主主義的な制約を、彼らがためらいなく無視することを意味している。 |

At first glance this may seem like little more than a grim (but pretty funny) joke, but in fact it exposes a deeper truth about yesterday’s reckless, illegal and unprovoked US bombing of Iran’s nuclear sites: the fact that Trump chose to cross such an enormous red line without even bothering to manufacture a shred of consent — despite overwhelming public opposition — or to pay the slightest lip service to international law, and did so with the full-throated backing of the EU and UK, marks a decisive turn. We have now entered a new phase of Western-led global savagery — prefigured by Israel’s ongoing Western-backed genocide in Gaza — in which all pretences have been dropped and only the logic of raw, unrestrained violence remains. This is not just a catastrophic threat to international peace — yesterday’s strike sent a clear message to any non-nuclear nation that they can be bombed and brutalised at will — but also to what little freedoms we still have left within the West itself. Make no mistake: the Western ruling classes’ open embrace of Mafia-style gangsterism abroad also means that they will have no qualms about brushing aside whatever ethical, legal, constitutional and democratic constrains that still stand in the way of their desperate, hallucinatory bid to preserve the crumbling order. |
