2025年5月15日、私は「Judging Freedom」に出演し、ナポリターノ判事とイラン、ウクライナ、ネタニヤフ首相、そしてガザで続くジェノサイドについて話した。

判事は、トランプ大統領が就任して4ヶ月近く経ち、近いうちに戦争が終結する兆しが全くないことを踏まえ、ウクライナ戦争は今やトランプ大統領の手に委ねられていると思うかどうかをゲストに頻繁に尋ねている。私を含め、ほぼすべてのゲストが、ウクライナ戦争は今やトランプの戦争だと述べている。

判事は、今こそゲストに、トランプが前任者と同様にジェノサイドに加担していると思うかどうかを尋ね始めるべきだと思う。バイデンが「ジェノサイド・ジョー」と呼ばれたように、トランプを「ジェノサイド・ドン」と呼ぶことに意味があるのか？トランプがイスラエルの進行中のジェノサイドを全面的に支持しているのを見ると、彼がそのレッテルを貼られるのは、私には一目瞭然だと思える。

On 15 May 2025, I was on “Judging Freedom” talking with Judge Napolitano about Iran, Ukraine, Prime Minister Netanyahu, and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

The Judge frequently ask his guests whether they think the war in Ukraine now belongs to President Trump, given that he has been in office nearly 4 months and there is no sign the war is going to end anytime soon. Virtually all his guests — yours truly included — say that the war in Ukraine is now Trump’s war.

It seems to me that the Judge should now begin asking his distinguished guests whether they think Trump, like his predecessor, is complicit in genocide. Just as Biden was called “Genocide Joe,” does it make sense to call Trump “Genocide Don”? It seems obvious to me, watching Trump fully support Israel’s ongoing genocide, that he deserves that label.

MH: No, that’s all that America has now. It’s muscle-bound because for years America has put all of its money into atomic war. So America can’t reintroduce a draft and have an army invading another country because you’d have student protests like you had in the Vietnam War. So all that America really has to fight with militarily is atom bombs. Unless it can get other countries to commit suicide, like the Ukrainians are doing after the American coup d’etat of 2015. But it looks like it’s going to have difficulty having other countries follow Ukraine. And I don’t see the Taiwanese doing this, only the Japanese might be willing to do this.

Secretary Hegseth closed his mid-May speech in Singapore by claiming:

« The motto of my first platoon, the first one I led, was: “Those who long for peace must prepare for war.” And that’s exactly what we’re doing. We are preparing for war in order to deter war—to achieve peace through strength. And we look out in this room, and we look to you—to our allies and to our partners—to join us in this important work.»

In reality, the US has been in a continuous state of war throughout the 21st century and continues to wage both war and proxy war around the globe today. Secretary Hegseth and the interests he serves are not attempting to “prepare for war in order to deter war” but rather continuing to wage constant war to deter any sort of equitable peace.

Washington’s sustained campaign of political destabilization, military encroachment, and economic warfare across Asia demonstrates a refusal to accept the reality of a sovereign China and a broader rising Asia that seeks to define its own regional destiny free from Western interference. Washington’s true objective is demonstrably not peace, but the continuation of its historically unwarranted dominance, even at the cost of turning the Asia-Pacific region, or even the rest of the world, into spiraling chaos, conflict, and catastrophe.
