China is about five years from irreversibly surpassing the US in all metrics and in ways the US can never ever stop or reverse. But again, the US is in this rush. They are desperate. A desperate, wounded empire is the most dangerous empire imaginable. They have nuclear weapons, which is something the British Empire didn’t have when it reached its limits. It is a very dangerous situation because ultimately it’s all aimed at both Russia and China, which are both nuclear-armed nation-states.”

Well, to U.S. diplomats, what you call the support of Israel is really the support of the U.S.’ ability to militarily control the rest of the Near East. It’s all about oil. America is not giving all this money to Israel because it loves Israel, but because Israel is the military base from which the United States can attack Syria, Iraq, and Iran and Lebanon. So it’s a military base. And of course, it can frame this in terms of pro-Israeli, pro-Jewish policy, but this is only for the public relations view of the State Department. If American strategy is based on energy in the Near East, then Israel is only a means to this end. It’s not the end itself. And that’s why the United States needed to have an aggressive Israeli government. You can look at Netanyahu as being, in a way, a U.S. puppet, very much like Zelensky. Their positions are identical in their reliance on the United States against the majority of their own people.

Angelo Giuliano @angeloinchina 2025/09/30 It's a classic good cop - bad cop routine.  They pretend to fight and be at odds, but in reality, they are completely in sync. Netanyahu plays the unyielding extremist, which lets Trump pose as the relatively reasonable one. The whole thing is a circus for the masses, masking what they're actually planning together. Netanyahu is the perfect scapegoat, allowing Trump to pretend he's not the one pulling the strings.

Iran is not only the capstone to full control of the Near East and its oil and dollar holdings. Iran is a key link for China’s Belt and Road program for a New Silk Road of railway transport to the West. If the United States can overthrow the Iranian government, this interrupts the long transportation corridor that China already has constructed and hopes to extend further West. Iran also is a key to blocking Russian trade and development via the Caspian Sea and access to the south, bypassing the Suez Canal. And under U.S. control, an Iranian client regime could threaten Russia from its southern flank, bypassing the Suez Canal. To the Neocons, all this makes Iran a central pivot on which the self-proclaimed U.S. national interest is based – if you define that national interest as creating a coercive empire of client states observing dollar hegemony by adhering to the dollarized international financial system.
